Flojet 02090-120 Pressure Switch Kit, 100 PSI
The Flojet 02090-120 is the genuine 100 PSI pressure switch kit. It is one of the highest settings Flojet offers, intended for equipment purpose-built to work at that pressure rather than for general water service.
At 100 PSI the demands on every component change in character. The diaphragm is flexing against nearly three times the load a domestic system imposes, the check valves slam onto their seats with correspondingly more force, and the motor spends longer at higher current getting there. That is why pumps built for this duty use heavier diaphragm materials and stronger housings, and why fitting a high-pressure switch to a standard pump achieves nothing useful — the pump simply cannot reach the cut-out and runs continuously against a closed line.
Before ordering, confirm three things: that the pump is rated to produce 100 PSI, that the plumbing and fittings downstream are rated to hold it, and that any filter, accumulator or appliance in the system has a maximum working pressure above it. A high-pressure system finds its weakest component quickly, and the weakest component is rarely the one you were thinking about.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why do high-pressure pumps use different diaphragm materials?
Because the diaphragm is doing far more work per stroke. Materials chosen for flexibility at low pressure fatigue quickly when they are being pushed against three times the load.
Q: What is the risk of over-specifying the switch?
A pump that never cuts out. It runs continuously, heats up, drains the supply and wears out far faster than it should, all while the system sits below the pressure the switch is waiting for.
Q: Do fittings need to change at this pressure?
Check every one. Push-fit and barbed connections rated comfortably for 35 PSI may be at or beyond their limit at 100, and the failure is far more dramatic at the higher pressure.
Q: How do I know what my pump can actually produce?
Its maximum pressure is on the pump label or in its documentation. If the label has weathered away, send us the model number and we will look it up with you.
Not sure this is the right part? Send us a Picture of the pump plate on your pump and the CLR Marine team will confirm the correct part before you order.
