Q: What happens if the pump cannot reach 95 PSI?
It never cuts out. The pump runs continuously against a closed discharge, which overheats the motor, drains the battery and shortens the life of every wearing part in the pump.
Q: Does a higher-pressure switch make the pump more powerful?
No. The switch only decides when the pump stops; the pressure the pump can actually produce is fixed by its own design.
Q: What should I check on the plumbing before fitting one?
Every joint, clamp and fitting between the pump and the outlets, plus the pressure rating of any filter, accumulator or appliance downstream. At this pressure the weakest component will find you.
