Flojet 01825022C Adapter, 1/2" Slip Stem x 22 mm OD
The Flojet 01825022C is a genuine adapter joining a 1/2" slip stem to 22 mm outside diameter tube. Twenty-two millimetre is the larger of the two common metric domestic pipe sizes, used where 15 mm would restrict the flow.
On a vessel, 22 mm generally appears on the parts of the system that move real volume: the feed to and from a calorifier or water heater, a main distribution run in a larger installation, or the supply to a shower where pressure at the head actually matters. Cut the metric tube square and free of burrs, push it fully home until it seats, and confirm it has locked with a firm pull before the system sees pressure. Support the larger tube close to the fitting, since a water-filled 22 mm run is heavy enough to load a joint on its own.

Q: Does stepping down from 22 mm to 1/2 in. cost much flow?
Over the short length of an adapter, not much. Over a long run it would, which is why the reduction belongs at the point of connection rather than partway along the pipe.
Q: Is 22 mm tube much heavier when full?
Noticeably. A water-filled 22 mm run carries roughly twice the weight per metre of a 15 mm one, which is why supporting it close to fittings matters more.
Q: Can this fitting be used on a hot water line?
Check the temperature rating of the quick-connect tubing system and of the metric tube itself. Heater connections in particular run hotter than the rest of the system.
Q: What if my metric tube is 22 mm but a different wall thickness?
Outside diameter is what the fitting seals on, so the wall thickness does not affect the seal. It does affect the bore, so a thick-walled tube will carry slightly less flow.
