Flojet 01825015C Adapter, 1/2" Slip Stem x 15 mm OD
The Flojet 01825015C is a genuine adapter joining a 1/2" slip stem to 15 mm outside diameter tube. It is the fitting that connects a Flojet quick-connect system to metric plumbing, which turns up far more often on boats than people expect.
Metric 15 mm is the standard small domestic pipe size across much of the world, and it finds its way aboard through equipment rather than through the original plumbing: a European-built water heater, a shower mixer, a filter housing or a marine toilet arriving with 15 mm connections and no obvious way to join them to an imperial system. Without the right adapter the usual outcome is a stack of improvised reducers, or worse, a barbed joint forced onto tube of not quite the right diameter.
It is also worth knowing that 15 mm and 1/2" are close enough to look interchangeable and far enough apart to leak. Fifteen millimetres is a little under 0.591", and a half-inch tube is nominally 0.500" — the gap is more than enough to defeat an O-ring designed for either one. Use the correct adapter, cut the metric tube square and burr-free, and push it fully home before pressurising.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I just push 15 mm tube into a 1/2 in. fitting?
No. The sizes differ by enough that the O-ring cannot seal properly, and a joint that feels tight when dry will weep as soon as it sees pressure and a little movement.
Q: How do I tell 15 mm from 1/2 in. tube?
Measure the outside diameter with calipers. 15 mm is about 0.591"; imperial tube of the same nominal size measures differently, and guessing by eye is how mismatched joints get made.
Q: Does metric tube need a different cutter?
A standard tube cutter works, provided it will open wide enough. What matters is a square cut with no burr, whatever the size.
Q: Is metric tube suitable for potable water?
That depends on the tube, not the adapter. Check that the tubing itself carries a potable water approval before using it for drinking water.
