Flojet 01821002C Elbow, 1/2" PEX x 1/2"-14 Female
The Flojet 01821002C is a genuine push-fit elbow joining 1/2" PEX tubing to a 1/2"-14 female thread. It combines the turn and the threaded transition in a single fitting, which is more useful than it sounds.
The alternative is a straight adapter followed by a separate elbow, and that arrangement causes a specific and very common problem: it projects far enough from the port that the tubing has to start turning before it has cleared the surrounding hardware. Behind a pump or against a bulkhead there is often simply not room, and what happens next is the tube gets forced into a curve that starts at the fitting — loading the joint sideways and kinking the tube at the same time. A combined elbow puts the turn right at the port where the space actually is.
It also removes a joint. Every connection in a pressurised water system is a potential leak and an item to inspect; doing the same job with one fitting instead of two halves both. Make the threaded connection first with appropriate sealant, tightening firmly rather than hard, then push the squarely cut tube fully home and confirm it has locked.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I set which way the elbow points?
Within the limits of where the thread happens to stop. If the outlet ends up facing awkwardly, a small amount of extra sealant on the thread can let you stop it a little short in the right orientation without losing the seal.
Q: Is a combined fitting weaker than two separate ones?
No — it is usually stronger, because a single moulding has no intermediate joint and presents a shorter lever arm to any load the tubing puts on it.
Q: What if I need the turn in the other plane?
Fit the elbow so the tube leaves in the direction you need and route from there. Trying to correct the direction by twisting the tube afterwards loads the joint permanently.
Q: Does a 90-degree turn at the pump affect priming?
Not materially on the discharge side. On the suction side, keep fittings to the minimum and make sure none of them are restricting the bore, since that is where a pump has the least margin.
