Flojet 01820002C Adapter, 1/2" ID x 1/2" Female Pipe

Q: Why does the main supply size matter more?
Because everything downstream depends on it. A branch failure loses one outlet; a main supply failure loses the system and, on a boat, puts the whole tank into the bilge.
Q: How do I pressure test a new joint?
Bring the system up to pressure with the pump, then switch the pump off and watch. A sound system holds pressure; if the pump restarts on its own after a few minutes, something is leaking even if you cannot see it.
Q: Can I use this to join two tubing runs?
Not directly — one side is threaded. For tube to tube you want a straight coupling in the matching size.
