Flojet 01510-000 Brass 1/4" Hose Barb Air Port
The Flojet 01510-000 is the genuine replacement 1/4" brass straight hose barb air port fitting for Flojet G57 Series air-operated double diaphragm pumps. It threads into the pump’s air inlet and gives you a barbed spigot to push a 1/4" air hose onto — the connection through which every bit of the compressed air that drives the pump has to pass.
That makes it a small part with a direct line to how well the pump works. An air-operated diaphragm pump has no motor and no electricity; it runs entirely on the pressure and volume of air fed into this port. A fitting that is cracked, has a split barb, or has damaged threads leaks air continuously, and the pump reacts exactly as you would expect — it strokes slowly, loses flow, struggles to build pressure, or stalls part-way through a stroke. The straight (in-line) form takes the hose away from the pump on the same axis as the port, so it suits installations where there is room behind the pump for the air line to run straight out.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does this fitting go on the air side or the liquid side of the pump?
The air side only. It threads into the compressed air inlet that drives the pump, so it never touches the liquid being pumped and chemical compatibility is not a factor in choosing it.
Q: What size air hose does it take?
A 1/4" inside diameter air hose pushes over the barb. Secure it with a hose clamp rather than relying on friction — the barb holds the hose, but the clamp is what stops it creeping off under pressure and vibration.
Q: Do I need thread sealant when fitting it?
Yes. Use PTFE tape or a suitable liquid thread sealant on the threads, and stop tightening as soon as it seats firmly. Over-tightening a brass fitting into a plastic pump housing is the most common way people crack the housing during a simple fitting change.
Q: My pump is running slowly and I cannot find the fault — could it be this?
It is worth checking early. Brush soapy water around the fitting and the hose joint with the air on; a leak will blow bubbles straight away. Air escaping at the inlet starves the pump of the volume it needs to complete a full stroke, which looks exactly like a worn-out pump.
