This is a JMP Marine raw-water pump (JMP part JPR-CT0440), built as a 100% plug-and-play replacement for the genuine Caterpillar pump it replaces below. It is designed for Caterpillar C4.4 engines and Perkins M92B engines, and ships complete with a bronze cam liner, a marine-grade non-magnetic 3X Series shaft, a long-life mechanical seal, and a high-performance impeller (7400-01K) already fitted.
This pump replaces Caterpillar 4255412 / 425-5412, Jabsco 29630-1201, Perkins W100006. Parts are internally compatible with the genuine Caterpillar pump with one exception: if you are servicing an original Caterpillar pump housing rather than swapping in this complete unit, use Caterpillar mechanical seal part 4204328 in place of the JMP mechanical seal (MCSSET0008) supplied with this pump. This version is finished in painted white to match select engine color schemes.
