AMT 4896-010-98 Stainless Steel Impeller Subgroup Kit, 3/4 HP
The AMT 4896-010-98 is the genuine stainless steel impeller subgroup kit for AMT’s 3/4 HP three-phase build. It is supplied as a kit so the impeller arrives with the small components that sit around it, rather than as a bare casting that you then reinstall using whatever was on the shaft before.
Stainless is the right material where the liquid is corrosive or the flow is abrasive. It resists salt water, washdown chemicals and dilute process solutions that would eat bronze or cast iron, and it holds a sharp vane leading edge far longer under abrasive flow. That edge is what picks the liquid up cleanly; once it rounds off, flow separates from the vane, turbulence rises, and a measurable slice of the pump’s head disappears without any change in how the pump sounds.
Replace the impeller when the vane tips are visibly thinned or ragged, when the shroud has worn through, when erosion at the eye has opened the running clearance, or when cavitation has left pitted, honeycombed damage on the vane backs. Impellers are cut to suit the motor rating, so a 3/4 HP three-phase impeller is not interchangeable with one for another horsepower even if it fits the shaft. Check your nameplate against the parts breakdown before ordering.
