AMT 2105-037-00 #013 Viton O-Ring
The AMT 2105-037-00 is the genuine #013 Viton O-ring for AMT pumps. The #013 designation puts this at the small end of the O-ring range — a compact ring for a small-diameter sealing position such as a drain or vent plug, a fitting, or an internal component seal within the pump assembly.
Small O-rings are not a small problem when they fail. A leak at a plug or fitting on the suction side of a self-priming pump does not drip water on the floor; it lets air into the suction line, and air is the one thing a self-priming pump cannot tolerate. The result is a pump that loses prime overnight, takes far too long to re-prime, or never quite gets there at all — a fault that people routinely chase around the whole system before finding a ring the size of a shirt button.
Viton is specified for its resistance to solvents, fuels, oils, acids and elevated temperatures, all of which will swell or harden a nitrile ring from the inside where the damage is invisible. Fit a new ring rather than refitting the old one: an O-ring that has been compressed takes a permanent set and will not seal to the same load.
