AMT 2105-019-01 Pump Impeller
The AMT 2105-019-01 is the genuine replacement impeller for AMT pumps. In a centrifugal pump the impeller is the only component that adds energy to the liquid: its vanes fling the liquid outward at high velocity, and the volute surrounding it converts that velocity into the discharge pressure the pump is rated for. Everything else in the pump exists to support that one action.
It follows that impeller condition sets the performance ceiling for the whole machine. Vane tips that have thinned and gone ragged no longer grip the liquid properly. A shroud worn thin or perforated lets flow short-circuit from the discharge side back to the eye. Cavitation leaves a distinctive pitted, spongy-looking erosion on the backs of the vanes where collapsing vapour bubbles have hammered the metal away. Any of these and the pump delivers less head and less flow while drawing the same current — a decline that is easy to misread as a blocked strainer or a tiring motor.
When you fit a new impeller, check the wear surfaces it runs against at the same time. A fresh impeller in a casing whose cover or suction plate is already eroded will not restore the clearance that produces head, so the pump comes back only part of the way. AMT builds several impellers of similar appearance with different vane profiles, diameters and hub configurations, and they are not interchangeable — confirm the part number against your parts breakdown before ordering.
