AMT 2105-017-01 Bronze Casing Cover
The AMT 2105-017-01 is the genuine machined bronze casing cover, supplied in the version without feet or handle. The casing cover closes the front of the pump volute. It carries the sealing joint that keeps the pumped liquid in, and its inside face forms one wall of the chamber the impeller runs in — which makes it a working hydraulic surface, not just a lid.
That second role is the one people underestimate. The gap between the impeller and the cover face is a running clearance, and it controls how much liquid slips back around the impeller instead of leaving through the discharge. When the cover face is eroded, grooved by a rubbing impeller, or pitted by corrosion, that gap opens up and the pump quietly loses head and flow while drawing the same power. A worn cover can cost a surprising amount of performance before anyone suspects it.
Bronze is specified here for its corrosion resistance in salt water and raw water service and for the way it wears gracefully against a rotating impeller rather than galling. This cover is finish-machined to the drawing, so it restores the original clearance rather than approximating it.
