GPS160F with Furuno Format Data Output The GPS160 series of sensors is a high-performance GPS designed for use with chart plotters Digital Yacht has introduced a specific version of the GPS160 which is a simple replacement for older Furuno plotter and GPS systems.  Devices like the Furuno GP32, Navnet, and GPS310/320 utilize a specific format for GPS data and this sensor emulates that for easy compatibility.  Some of these older GPS sensors have suffered from technical issues with the GPS system rollover changes which can render chart plotter systems useless.  The GPS160F provides an economical and reliable solution to these problems. In conjunction with Furuno UK, Digital Yacht has developed a special version of their popular GPS160 Smart GNSS Sensor “TriNav” that outputs the older NMEA 0183 sentences and data format that the legacy Furuno systems can read. Now if a Furuno customer has a problem with their existing Furuno GPS (GP310/GP320/GP32/etc.) they can use the GPS160F as a simple “drop-in” replacement for their failed positioning sensor. iKonvert with USB Interface The iKonvert NMEA2000-0183 Gateway/Converter is an intelligent and flexible gateway for allowing software applications to read/write NMEA2000 data, either as RAW binary PGN data for ultimate analysis and control or converted to the older and more commonly supported NMEA0183 data. Every popular Marine Navigation application that runs on PC/MAC/LINUX computers, can read NMEA0183 data and for all of those programs, iKonvert provides a simple, reliable and cost effective way to access the navigation data on an NMEA2000 network. Simply set the DIP switches inside iKonvert to the required data mode that you want to use and iKonvert will extract the selected data from the NMEA2000 network and provide them to your marine application in a format and at a baud rate they support. 5G Xtream System with 3 Antennas & 7M Cable For boat owners looking for ultra-fast internet on board, the new 5G Xtream from Digital Yacht offers 4G and 5G connectivity as well as integration with Starlink satellite systems for the best and most affordable blended internet afloat. The 5G Xtream can support 5G (shoreside) connection speeds up to 3.1GB/s but also integrates a 4G Cat 20 modem, which offers connectivity up to about 25NM from shore at speeds of up to 2GB/s. The system uses three external antennas with dual high-gain vertical antennas and a separate compact dome for the higher 5G frequencies. This MIMO technology and, critically, separate antennas give optimum performance. There’s support for dual SIMs with auto (failover) or manual switching between operators. The 5G Xtream features dual-band (2.4 and 5GHz) wireless connections, so users on board simply search for the secure wifi point and connect. Everything is included as two main starter packs for easy installation and ordering.  No app is needed either as the iSeaSense wireless server creates powerful graphical and numeric display pages that can be viewed via a browser on any device. iSeaSense includes the WND100 wind sensor with 20m cable and an interface to “T” directly to the NMEA 2000 backbone.  It means there’s no heavy NMEA 2000 cabling to the top of the mast and no need for complex mast top terminations for the Wind Sensor. iSeaSense also includes depth, speed, and temperature sensors.  A spatial sensor is also included for detecting pitch and roll and there’s a sophisticated algorithm for calibrating boat speed information based on heel. A full NMEA 2000 backbone cabling back the wireless interface for connectivity and a spare cable and connection point for additional NMEA 2000 devices are included. With NMEA 2000, expanding the system is easy and you can add any Digital Yacht’s instruments such as GPS, AIS, electronic compass, and more. You can also send the instrument data to your NMEA 2000 chart plotter or display. iSeaSense features an easy-to-use web interface.  No apps are required. Simply open the browser on a connected device, navigate to iSeaSense.local, and the optimized touchscreen display is ready. You can calibrate the wind sensor via the iSeaSense web interface and also displays true and apparent wind speed and angle plus VMG calculations. The web interface works on iOS, Android, PC, Linux, and MAC – any standard web browser as well as e-ink displays like Kindle and e-book. It supports up to 3 connected devices with super fast 5Hz updates.
