As the sender's resistance varies, the amount of current allowed to flow through it to ground changes and the meter deflects, showing the level of fuel.

The AC-1A-MD-1/2 may have been modified to handle these chemicals.
March Pump's industrial AC-1A-MD-1/2 is an American seal-less centrifugal magnetic drive pump ideal for applications such as chemical recirculation and chemical transfer. It is capable of generating a maximum flow of 3 gallons per minute at 0.25 feet, and its maximum head is 4.6 Feet (or around 2PSI). The standard wet end (the materials that come into contact with the solution) is composed of Polypropylene, Buna N, Nylon, Carbon/Teflon, Stainless Steel, and Ceramic Magnet. The inlet connection is 0.5 inch smooth, and the outlet is 0.5 inch smooth. The standard motor is a 1 Phase 115V or 230V 0.05 Horsepower motor, which can be run on 60 hertz on 115V or 50 and 60 hertz on 230V (there are performance differences between the hertz options).
