VE.Bus BMS for Victron LiFePO4 Batteries 12-48VDC Works with All VE.Bus
The VE.Bus BMS protects each individual cell of a Victron lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP) battery.
Each individual cell of a LiFePO4 battery must be protected against over-voltage, under-voltage, and over-temperature. Victron LiFePO4 batteries have integrated Balancing, Temperature, and Voltage control (acronym: BTV) and connect to the VE.Bus BMS with two M8 circular connector cord sets. The BTVs of several batteries can be daisy-chained. Please see our LiFePO4 battery documentation for details.
The BMS will:
Shut down or disconnect loads in case of the imminent cell under voltage.
Reduce charge current in case of imminent cell overvoltage or over temperature (VE.Bus products only, see below).
Shut down or disconnect battery chargers in case of imminent cell overvoltage or over-temperature.

VE.Bus BMS V2 for Victron LiFePO4 Batteries 12-48VDC - Work with All VE.Bus & GX Devices
The VE.Bus BMS and VE.Bus BMS V2 is Battery Management System (BMS) designed to interface with and protect a single or multiple Victron Lithium Battery 12,8V & 25,6V Smart (LiFePO4 or LFP) in systems that have Victron inverters or inverter/chargers with VE.Bus communication. It monitors and protects the batteries against the over voltage and under voltage of any individual cell, and also over temperature or under temperature conditions.
Based on the status of the battery or batteries, the BMS will:
Generate a pre-alarm signal to alert of an imminent cell under voltage conditions.
Disable inverting in VE.Bus inverters or inverters/chargers via VE.Bus, and disable other loads via the 'Load Disconnect' terminal in the event of a cell under voltage conditions.
Disable charging in VE.Bus inverters or inverters/chargers via VE.Bus and disable other chargers via the 'Charge Disconnect' terminal in the event of a cell overvoltage, under-temperature, or over-temperature conditions.
The "original" VE.Bus BMS is best used in systems without a GX device
The "next generation" VE.Bus BMS V2 has additional features such as:
Remote on/off terminals.
Ability to disable VE.Direct and VE.Can solar chargers via a GX device.
Allowing control of the VE.Bus inverter/charger from multiple devices, like the Digital Multi Control, the VE.Bus Smart dongle and/or a GX device.
Auxiliary power input and output terminals that allow a GX device to remain powered in the event of a system shutdown.

SmallBMS for Smart LiFePO4 Batteries with M8
A simple and low-cost alternative to the VE.Bus BMS. The smallBMS can replace the VE.Bus BMS in several applications. It is however not suitable for use with VE.Bus MultiPlus and Quattro inverter/chargers: it has no VE.Bus interface.
The smallBMS is intended for use with Victron Smart LiFePo4 batteries with M8 circular connectors. The smallBMS has three outputs, similar to the VE.Bus BMS. Load Disconnect output The Load output is normally high and becomes free-floating in case of the cell under voltage (default 2,8V/cell, adjustable on the battery between 2,6V and 2,8V per cell). Maximum current: 1A. The Load output is not short-circuit protected.
The Load output can be used to control:
A high current relay or contactor.
The remote on/off the input of a Battery Protect, inverter or DC-DC converter, or other loads.
Pre-alarm output
The pre-alarm output is normally free-floating and becomes high in case of the imminent cell under voltage (default 3,1V/cell, adjustable on the battery between 2,85V and 3,15V per cell). Maximum current: 1A (not short circuit protected).
The minimum delay between pre-alarm and load disconnect is 30 seconds.
Charge disconnect output
The Charger output is normally high and becomes free-floating in case of imminent cell overvoltage or over-temperature. Maximum current: 10mA. The Charger output is not suitable to power an inductive load such as a relay coil.
The Charger output can be used to control:
The remote on/off of a charger
A Cyrix-Li-Charge relay
A Cyrix-Li-ct Battery Combiner
System on/off input
The system on/off input controls both outputs. When off, both outputs will be free floating so that loads and chargers are turned off. The System on/off consists of two terminals: Remote L and Remote H. A remote on/off switch or relay contact can be connected between L and H. Alternatively, terminal H can be switched to battery plus, or terminal L can be switched to battery minus.
Protects 12V, 24V and 48V systems
Operating voltage range: 8 to 70V DC.
LED indicators:
Load ON (blue): Load output high (cell voltage >2.8V, adjustable on the battery).
Temp or OVP (red): Charger output free floating (due to cell over temperature (>50°C), cell under temperature (<5 °C) or cell over voltage).

VE. Bus Smart Dongle
The VE.Bus Smart dongle is two products in one:
First of all it is the bluetooth accessory for our range of inverter/chargers: Multis, MultiPlusses, MultiPlus-II, MultiGrid, MultiGrid-II, Quattros, and our series of Phoenix Inverters with a VE.Bus port. When installed, use the VictronConnect app to monitor operation and also operate the system: change the input current limit as well as switch between Off, On and Charger-only modes.
Secondly it can work as a Voltage- and Temperature-sense device for the inverter/charger. This works with all models, and is especially useful in combination with the MultiPlus-II, as it does not have on-board terminals for Voltage- and Temperature sense wiring
For monitoring, the device is a great alternative in caravans, smaller yachts and motor homes for which the Color Control GX or Venus GX are a step too far.

Smart BMS 12/200 for Victron LIFEPO4 Batteries 12VDC Only
The Smart BMS 12/200 is an all-in-one Battery Management system for Victron Lithium-Iron-Phosphate (LiFePO4) Smart Batteries. It has been specifically designed for 12V systems with a 12V alternator such as in vehicles and boats.
It combines a Current Limiter, Battery Combiner, and Battery Protector in a robust and compact solution and lets you safely connect any size 12V alternator (and starter battery), loads, and chargers to Smart Lithium batteries.
The Smart BMS 12/200 monitors and protects each individual battery cell within the battery (or battery bank) and will disconnect the alternator, charge sources, or DC loads in case of low battery cell voltage, high battery cell voltage, or over temperature.
The dedicated alternator connection provides current limiting and one-way traffic from the alternator into the battery, so any size alternator (and starter battery) can be safely connected to the Smart Lithium battery (or battery bank) and the starter battery is protected from excessive discharge.
The BMS is equipped with Bluetooth for monitoring and configuration, a remote on/off the connector, to turn the BMS (and the system) off via a remote switch, and a pre-alarm contact, to give a warning signal before the BMS will disconnect the batteries from the system.

Lynx Smart BMS 1000 Battery Management System for Lithium Smart Batteries
The Lynx Smart BMS is a dedicated Battery Management System (BMS) for the Victron Lithium Battery Smart batteries. These batteries are Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries and are available in 12.8 V or 25.6 V in various capacities. They can be connected in series, parallel, and series/parallel so that a battery bank can be built for system voltages of 12V, 24 V, or 48 V. The maximum number of batteries in one system is 20, which results in a maximum energy storage of 84 kWh in a 12 V and up to 102 kWh in a 24 V1) and 48 V1) system.
Out of the various available BMSes, the Lynx Smart BMS is the most feature-rich and complete option and integrates seamlessly into the Lynx Distributor system. This model is a 1000 A (M10) version.
Built-in 1000 A Contactor
The contactor acts as a secondary safety system to protect the battery in case the primary controls (ATC, ATD, and/or DVCC) fail to disable loads and/or chargers when required and is also suitable as a remote controllable main system switch.
Pre-charge Circuit
In addition to the contactor, a built-in pre-charge circuit prevents high inrush currents when connecting a capacitive load such as a MultiPlus/Quattro or other inverter, eliminating the need for external pre-charging.
Monitoring and Control
Monitor and control the BMS via Bluetooth using the VictronConnect App or a GX device such as a Cerbo GX and the VRM Portal. A built-in battery monitor that operates similarly as the other Victron Energy battery monitors, provides data such as state of charge, voltage, current, historical data, status info, and more in real-time and with instant readout even without the need to connect to the BMS, allowing diagnostic at a glance.
DVCC closed Loop Control as Well as ATC/ATD Contacts
Compatible Victron inverters/chargers and solar chargers are automatically controlled via a connected GX device and DVCC. The ATC/ATD contacts can be used to control other chargers and loads that have a remote on/off port.
Programmable Relay
The relay can be used either as an alarm relay (combined with the pre-alarm) or to control an alternator via its external regulator (ignition cable). In Alternator ATC mode, the relay will only activate when the contactor is closed. Alternator ATC contact of the alternator opens first and then with a delay of 2 seconds the contactor. These 2 seconds ensure that the alternator is switched off before the battery is disconnected from the system.
AUX Terminal
The advantage of the onboard auxiliary power supply (1.1 A @ system voltage) is to provide power to specific loads (i.e. a GX device) after the BMS has shut down the loads in the event of a low cell voltage event. If no charge voltage is detected within 5 minutes, the BMS, including the AUX connection switches off.
VE.Can and NMEA 2000 Data Communication
VE.Can allows for easy connection (standard RJ45 network cable) and communication with a GX device. Since the CANbus protocol is based on NMEA 2000 (and J1939), it is easy to integrate into a marine network and feed a marine MFD with data (requires a VE.Can to NMEA 2000 micro-C male cable).
Lynx Distributor Fuse Monitoring
Read out the fuse status and receive an alarm in case a fuse is blown. The Lynx Smart BMS monitors up to 4 connected Lynx Distributors and their fuses via VictronConnect or a GX device 1) To reduce the required balancing time, we recommend using as many different batteries in series as possible for the application. 24 V systems are best built using 24 V batteries, and a 48 V system.
This System Contains the Following Components:
Lynx Distributor with 2 fused paralleled lithium-ion smart batteries.
Lynx Smart BMS with BMS, contactor, and battery monitor
A second Lynx distributor provides fused connections for inverter/charger(s), loads and chargers (additional modules can be added if more connections are needed)
A Cerbo GX (or other GX device) to read out the Lynx Smart BMS and Lynx Distributor data.

BatteryProtect BP-65 - 65AMP - 6-35 VDC
Features:
The BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from non essential loads before it is completely discharged (which would damage the battery) or before it has insufficient power left to crank the engine.
12/24V auto ranging The BatteryProtect automatically detects system voltage
Programming made easy The BatteryProtect can be set to engage / disengage at several different voltages. The seven segment display will indicate which setting has been chosen.
A special setting for Li-ion batteries In this mode the BatteryProtect can be controlled by the VE.Bus BMS. Note: the BatteryProtect can also be used as a charge interrupter in between a battery charger and a Li-ion battery. See connection diagram in the manual.
Ultra low current consumption This is important in case of Li-ion batteries, especially after low voltage shutdown. Please see our Li-ion battery datasheet and the VE.Bus BMS manual for more information.
Over voltage protection To prevent damage to sensitive loads due to over voltage, the load is disconnected whenever the DC voltage exceeds 16V respectively 32V.
Ignition proof No relays but MOSFET switches, and therefore no sparks.
Delayed alarm output The alarm output is activated if the battery voltage drops below the preset disconnect level during more than 12 seconds. Starting the engine will therefore not activate the alarm. The alarm output is a short circuit proof open collector output to the negative (minus) rail, max. current 50 mA. The alarm output is typically used to activate a buzzer, LED or relay. Delayed load disconnect and delayed reconnect The load will be disconnected 90 seconds after the alarm has been activated. If the battery voltage increases again to the connect threshold within this time period (after the engine has been started for example), the load will not be disconnected. The load will be reconnected 30 seconds after the battery voltage has increased to more than the preset reconnect voltage.
