200WX WeatherStation® Instrument - Land-based, Mobile, Standalone
The WeatherStation 200WX is the best choice for mobile, land-based, weather-monitoring applications. Sensor-rich, durable, rugged, small housing that is IPX6 rated, means the 200WX can be used on moving platforms such as TV news and military vehicles.
Knowing the theoretical wind speed and direction is important and often mission-critical. The 200WX calculates the theoretical wind speed and direction based on the apparent wind (the wind you would feel on your hand if you held it out while moving), the speed of the vehicle, and the vehicle heading. Its internal 10 Hz GPS and three-axis electronic compass provides heading, position, speed-over-ground, and course-over-ground functionality that is necessary for theoretical wind-data processing on a moving vehicle.
The 3D compass with dynamic stabilization provided by the three-axis rate gyro enhances the rate-of-turn data. The patented 200WX maintains dynamic compass performance in hilly and mountainous terrain—common in military situations.
Features:
Ultrasonic measurement of apparent and theoretical wind speed and direction
Barometric pressure
Air and wind chill temperature
Relative humidity (field serviceable option)
Calculated dew point and heat index
GPS position, speed over ground, and course over ground
Three-axis, solid-state compass with dynamic stabilization
Three-axis rate gyro supplies rate-of–turn data
Three-axis accelerometer for best-in-class pitch and roll information
Housing IPX6 rated for water-ingress protection
Data output via a single cable (various lengths available)
NMEA 0183/ASCII serial data protocol over RS-232 interface
NMEA 2000 protocol over CAN
Options:
Relative humidity module
Enables dew-point and heat-index calculations
Field serviceable
WeatherStation housing rated IPX4

Ultrasonic Wind & Weather Antenna
Maretron's outdoor weather station measures wind speed and direction, air temperature, barometric pressure, and relative humidity. The wind measurement is performed using ultrasonic sensors, which means there are no moving parts to wear out or get caught in the rigging.
The WSO200 accurately measures wind speed and direction under a tilt of up to 30°, making it ideal for sail as well as power conditions.
When used with Maretron's SSC300 compass and a display such as Maretron's N2KView® vessel monitoring system, or Maretron's DSM570 color graphics displays, the user will be able to view both apparent and true wind speed and direction as well as dew point and wind chill factor.
The WSO200 mounts on a 1"-14 Standard Marine Mount.
The WSO200 is NMEA2000 * Cables sold separately
Features:
Apparent wind speed
Apparent wind direction
Atmospheric pressure
Air temperature
Relative humidity

A motor-driven fan draws a constant airflow through the sensor chamber at 500 feet per minute (2,5 m/s)
At night, when the effects of radiation are less, this solar-powered model runs on battery power and the airflow slows to 280 feet per minute (1,4 m/s)
Install your own sensor in the sensor chamber

Includes 10 plates, rechargeable batteries, mounting hardware, and 25 ft. (7,6 m) cable
UV Sensor:
Davis Instruments UV index sensor measures the sunburning portion of the UV spectrum. It measures global solar UV irradiance: the sum of the components of solar UV transmitted directly and those scattered in the atmosphere. It reports the UV index, dose rate, and daily and accumulative doses of UV light. This sensor is an excellent addition to the Vantage Pro2 weather station.
UV Sensor Features:
Measures the sunburning portion of the UV spectrum. Allows you to display UV index, dose rate, and daily and accumulated dose
Diffuser provides excellent cosine response
Measures global solar UV irradiance, which includes both directly transmitted and scattered UV

The Wind Instrument RB™ has no wires to run down the mast and through the cabin, because it is wireless and solar-powered. SailTimer made the first masthead anemometer that could transmit to smartphones and this new model has some amazing features. First, it works with lots of great chartplotter and performance apps (see the list here). For example, if you like to use wind angle while sailing, the MID Wifi app on iOS has a beautiful wind gauge that can show Apparent and True Wind Angle at the same time.
But what if you have NMEA wiring to a Multi-Function Display (MFD)? The Air Link™ accessory can receive the Bluetooth transmissions from the masthead, and has NMEA wiring connectors. The Air Link can also retransmit on wifi all NMEA wired data, to connect your wired devices to your smartphone/tablet. Aqua Map on Android just added the wifi connection to the Air Link this month.
The Wind Instrument RB™ has a Removable Battery in the nose cone, where it works as a counter-balance. The pointer is carbon fiber to reduce weight. The transmission range is 280 feet (85m) for boats of all sizes, whether you are launching a keelboat (above), trailerable sailboat (no 12v battery required), or multihull (below), even with a rotating mast.
